This is the third of three classes we currently teach about how to use and work with WordPress. It is not necessary to have attended the beginners class to make use of this one, but some basic familiarity with WordPress would be helpful. If you wish to catch up, the WordPress for Beginners video can be viewed here.

This class deals with many of the basic, back-end tasks involved in running a WordPress website. We will cover how to use the WordPress dashboard, run updates, monitor and tighten security, manage user roles, adjust settings and use the WordPress customizer. We will also discuss how to find, select and install plugins as well as picking, installing and switching themes and how that affects a running site.

Pre-registration is required. Coffee will be served.

Registration for this class is $10. To register, visit the Farmingdale SBDC workshop page and look for WordPress Site Management or click the registration link here.

The workshop will be held on October 2nd, 2019 from 9:30am to 11:30am at the SBDC Conference Center at SUNY Farmingdale. Directions can be downloaded here(PDF).
